Dr Andrew Bottomley – Editorial Board Member

Andrew Bottomley is a Chartered Psychologist and Fellow of the British Psychology Society United Kingdom (U.K.). Dr Bottomley has spent the last two decades researching the consequences of cancer and its treatment on patients, HRQOL and psychosocial functioning. For over 16 years he has been the Head of the European Organisation for Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Department, based in Brussels, Belgium. This post involves working at an international level, developing HRQOL outcomes research policies and instrument methodology in the cancer clinical trials arena. He has published 130 peer-reviewed papers in major cancer journals, 25 book chapters and co-authored 180 peer-reviewed abstracts for international conferences such as ASCO and ECCO. He serves on five editorial boards. Dr Bottomley has been the Editor for European Journal of Cancer Care for over eight years, and for more than 12 years the current and founding Senior Editor for the Journal of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research.
