Nausea and vomiting are still one of the most adverse events occurring during chemotherapy. Currently, prevention of nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy drugs includes receptor 5-HT3 antagonists and receptor NK1 antagonist.
Despite these successes, it is necessary to conduct further studies in this field. A better understanding of the mechanisms of the pharmacological agents used to prevent nausea and vomiting will lead to a more efficient use of the existing regimens.
