POGO Multi-Disciplinary Symposium on Childhood Cancer
An Integrated Approach to Relapse
POGO, the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario, was founded in 1983. The group‘s purpose is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with cancer and their families by providing equitable access to the best possible care – from state-of-the-art diagnosis, to the most advanced treatments and systematic follow-up through AfterCare – ensuring children across Ontario’s vast geography have the greatest prospects for survival with an optimal quality of life. This year’s event will examine relapse and integrated care from the perspectives of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. Topics include, among others, care of the relapsed patient, the role of complementary therapies in end-of-life care and integrated care.
