Interview with Dr. Florian Scotté, Department of Medical Oncology, Georges Pompidou European Hospital, Paris, France

Dr. Carla Ripamonti is interviewing Dr. Florian Scotté at the TAO Oncology meeting, Hopital Georges Pompidou, Paris, November 2013 on the unique program for optimization of chemotherapy administration. The idea is to be more prepared for the patient, so treatment is more efficient and of higher quality. To this end, patients are called two days before treatment and questioned on different aspects of their QoL. The team can now prepare for this patient to come in, and also mobilize the supportive team (e.g. psychologists, pain experts, etc), if needed. Dr. Scotté’s team now treats more patients in one day, while providing the patient more attention. Significantly less fatigue and pain is now seen in his patients.
