Florian Scotté, recorded at TAO (Transatlantic Oncology meeting), Nov 21-22, 2013

QoL - A01 - Ouverture du congrès Nouveautés en soins de support

Dr. Florian Scotté, Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou, Paris (France) presents a review of the most important news on supportive care in 2012 and 2013 during the TAO meeting held in Paris in November 2013. Dr. Scotté opens the conference and welcomes all speakers and attendees from many countries and several continents. He introduces the French speaking association for supportive care in cancer (AFSOS). Dr. Scotté shares that the first survey performed amongst physicians did not result in so much response (2010). The second survey included both physicians and patients. Fortunately, a much higher response was seen from physicians. Patient data is still being processed. Dr. Scotté continues by naming several old and new conferences of relevance. Dr. Scotté mentions AFSOS interregional reference standards, these are based on international literature and include implementation of reference standards.
